Wie wir zusammen mit der Hopp Foundation ein Design-Thinking-Handbuch speziell für die Schule entwickelt haben
Seit mehreren Jahren arbeiten wir von INNOKI eng mit der Hopp Foundation zusammen und führen im Rahmen dieser Kooperation viele Design-Thinking-Projekte an Schulen durch. Als die Stiftung bei uns anfragte, ob wir Interesse hätten, gemeinsam ein Design-Thinking-Handbuch für Lehrende zu realisieren, haben wir sofort sehr motiviert zugesagt.
Warum? Weil wir die Schule für einen besonders wichtigen Einsatzort für Design Thinking halten. Und weil wir dazu beitragen wollen, Schüler zu befähigen, optimistische Zukunftsgestalter zu werden und so unsere Gesellschaft vielfältig zu bereichern.
Wir möchten Lehrende effektiv bei der Entwicklung von zeitgemäßen Unterrichtsformaten unterstützen. Am Ende sollte ein Buch stehen, von dem Lehrer und Schüler gleichermaßen profitieren.
Ein Buch über Design Thinking im Schulalltag, das mit Design Thinking entwickelt wurde.
Design Thinking gehört für uns zur alltäglichen Arbeit. Herausfordernde Probleme im Team anzugehen und systematisch innovative Lösungen für sie zu entwickeln, ist uns vertraut. Entsprechend sind wir die Aufgabe, ein Lehrerhandbuch zu entwickeln, mit unserem klassischen Design-Thinking-Handwerkszeug angegangen. Um das Themenfeld »Design Thinking im Schulalltag« besser zu verstehen, sichteten wir Literatur zu Design Thinking,
studierten offizielle Bildungspläne und machten uns mit innovativen Unterrichtsansätzen vertraut. Um die Bedürfnisse der Lehrenden empathisch besser zu verstehen, haben wir ausführliche Interviews geführt sowie an verschiedenen Schulen hospitiert. Je besser wir den Problemraum kennenlernten, umso klarer wurden unsere Vorstellungen von dem Buch: Praxisnah und umsetzungsorientiert sollte es werden. Im intensiven Austausch mit Lehrenden entstanden verschiedene Unterrichtskonzepte.
Die Ideen zu hilfreichem Begleitmaterial wie Methodenkarten und Arbeitsblättern wurden immer konkreter. Allmählich formten sich die vielen Ideen zu einem großen Ganzen. Die erste Version des Buches erschien zunächst als Prototyp. Wir stellten ihn Lehrenden zum Lesen und Testen zur Verfügung und konnten mithilfe eines Fragebogens und in persönlichen Gesprächen wertvolles Feedback und Verbesserungsvorschläge einholen und anschließend in das Buch integrieren.
Begleitmaterial, dass die Anwendung von Design Thinking in der Schule erleichtern soll
Als Ergänzung zum Handbuch, seinen Methoden und Unterrichtskonzepten wurden Methodenkarten, Arbeitsblätter und ein Poster ausgearbeitet.
Mit den Methodenkarten können die Teams in den Klassen Design-Thinking-Methoden Schritt für Schritt selbständig anwenden – ohne, dass der Lehrende ständig als Coach zur Seite stehen muss.
Ein Set an Arbeitsblättern unterstützt bei den Methoden und kann als Kopiervorlage verwendet werden.
Eine Box dient als Aufbewahrungsmöglichkeit für das gesamte Design-Thinking-Begleitmaterial.
Das Ergebnis »Design Thinking und Schule – Ein Handbuch für den Schulalltag« kann von Schulen und gemeinnützigen Bildungsinstitutionen innerhalb Deutschlands kostenlos bei der Hopp Foundation angefordert werden. Es wird gebündelt mit dem Begleitmaterial in der Box zur Verfügung gestellt.

Das Handbuch soll dazu beitragen Kreativität und Teamarbeit im Schulalltag zu fördern und gelebte Fehlerkultur als etwas Bereicherndes zu erleben. Wir wünschen uns, dass »Design Thinking und Schule« junge Menschen dazu motiviert, aktiv an der Gestaltung der Gegenwart und der Zukunft mitzuwirken.
